Tibetan Cultural Heritage Tour

Estonian-Tibetan Cultural Society together with Traditional Music Center in Viljandi, and Estonian National Museum and WorldFilm festival in Tartu, have a pleasure to host in Estonia the delegation of Lhodak Gaden Dhonnyiling Tibetan Buddhist monastery in exile in India on their Tibetan Cultural Heritage Tour to Europe 2009. The Tour will take the monks to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Czech Republic.

Highlights of the Program in Estonia

  • Ritual dances and workshop on Tibetan music and crafts at Traditional Music Center, Viljandi, 22 March

  • Medicine Buddha sand mandala at Estonian National Museum, Tartu, 24-29 March

  • Ritual dances at Harbour Theatre, Tartu, 25 March

  • Tantric chant (guru puja) at Estonian National Museum, Tartu, 29 March
     

    NB! At the venues a selection of various Tibetan goods will be for sale: traditional jewellery and rosaries, bags, shirts and scarves, prayer flags and pennants with mantras and other symbols.

    Donations

    The aim of the Tibetan Cultural Heritage Tour is to raise funds for preserving the traditions of Lhodak Gaden Dhonnyiling and for attempts to revive the original monastery in Tibet.
